Missing Link is happy to announce the signing of Tanisha Riggins to it’s esteemed roster of songwriters and producers!

Born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Tanisha is the daughter of the late pianist/organist, Emmanuel Riggins and is the sibling of Drummer/Producer/Artist, and fellow Missing Link Music client, Karriem Riggins.

Tanisha is an aspiring singer/songwriter coming from the generation that emerged in the wake of the influence of funk and hip-hop music during the 80’s and 90’s. Growing up in the metro Detroit area, Tanisha was constantly exposed to different types of music (including mostly Jazz) due to her father’s heavy involvement in the music scene. Therefore, some of Tanisha’s biggest musical influences include Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holliday, Chaka Khan, Celia Cruz, Nina Simone, Faith Evans and Prince (just to name a few).

Tanisha studied music and the arts during her junior high and senior high school years by participating in dance, singing in the choir and playing in both, marching band and jazz band as a flutist.
