Missing Link Music has recently signed a worldwide administration agreement with Sean Cooper!
For nearly 25 years, Chicago native Sean Cooper has adorned music with a savviness that only growing up on the city’s South Side can harvest. Influenced by greats like Roger Troutman, Teddy Riley and Warryn Campbell, Sean’s record producing, composer, engineering and musician skills have garnered him a vast, multi-genre portfolio with an array of work that stretches from gospel, soul, R&B to hip-hop.
His latest production, “The Resume,” is a featured single on BJ the Chicago Kid’s 2017 Grammy-nominated album, “In My Mind.”
In addition, Sean and fellow Missing Link Music artist KC Knight recently teamed up to form the music production group, KC & Cooper. He’s also a member of Warryn Campbell’s “My Block Inc.” production team. Sean has collaborated on projects for Babyface, Brandy, Jennifer Hudson, Snoop Dogg and more. In 2009, he was recruited by then BET Awards Music Director Nisan Stewart to produce the show’s Michael Jackson music tribute performed by Jamie Foxx.
Other influences to his career and passion for music are Percy Bady, Gerald Haddon, Marcus Devine, Steve “Stone” Huff, Gamble & Huff, DJ Quik, Eric Dawkins, DJ Battlecat Rufus Troutman and Roger “Lynch” Troutman Jr. whom also taught him hands-on Talk Box.
