Fred Tackett, an original member of the band,“Little Feat,” has signed an administration deal with Missing Link Music. Fred’s association with Little Feat goes back to a friendship with the late founder of the band, Lowell George at the time of its inception. As a veteran session mandolin and trumpet player, Fred has played with a plethora of musical acts including Allman Brothers, Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt and The Wallflowers.

Originally from Arkansas, Fred worked on many early Little Feat albums such as “Dixie Chicken” as a studio musician, until becoming a full member by 1988 on the album “Let It Roll.” Along with Fred’s incomparable session guitar work, his mandolin and trumpet playing trademarked the classic Little Feat dynamic sound
