As a musician, songwriter, and producer, the Adam Blackstone “sound” has infiltrated the music world through a variety of artists from The Roots and Al Green, to Usher and Jill Scott.
From the early age of two, the piano was Adam Blackstone’s toy of choice. Growing up in a family surrounded by music, Adam went on to master both piano and drums, while focusing professionally on the bass. “I knew there was a world of people that needed to hear my sound; I just had to bring it to them.” And bring it to them he did, winning countless honors as a teen and in college at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
His formal education, excellent ability at improvisation, and sheer raw talent brought him on a path toward the world’s most well known artists. Most recently, his sound can be heard as Music Director for two of the biggest tours of the year: Rihanna and Maroon 5. Blackstone has also crafted live shows for a who’s who list of artists ranging from Demi Lovato, Kanye West and Eminem to Chris Brown and Janet Jackson.
