Common has returned with a brand new album, following the release of last year’s ‘Let Love.’ The new album titled ‘A Beautiful Revolution, Pt. 1’ features a whole list of guests. It includes Missing Link Music’s Karriem Riggins, Burniss Travis, and DJ Dummy among the mix of notables like Robert Glasper and Lenny Kravitz. ‘A Beautiful Revolution, Pt. 1’ coincides with a tumultuous time for the world, and Common hopes to help channel all the emotions and rage into something uplifting and constructive.

The album is filled with complex and simultaneously enriching lyrical content, but also musically. It serves as the perfect accompaniment of intelligent and meaningful change. In a statement with Rolling Stone, Common has hopes that this album with “uplift, heal, and inspire listeners dealing with racial injustices as well as other social injustices.” There’s still so much to do in this world but Common gives listeners proper inspiration and soundtrack for change.
