The incredible Sy Smith and Ashley Tamar sang so beautifully with the LA Philharmonic at the Walt Disney Concert Hall for two nights, January 2022.

They were among the best vocalists to celebrate a great American composer, Duke Ellington. The concert paid tribute to his specific works: ‘Black, Brown, and Beige’ and ‘New World A-Coming’, about the collective history of Black Americans and the hopeful future he imagined.

Sy sang “Heaven” and Ashley sang “The Majesty of God”.
