Angus Maude's honest songwriting and eclectic list of inspirations (Frank Ocean, blink-182, Kanye West, Bon Iver) come together to create a refreshing yet familiar sound. Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, Maude launched his career at the age of 19 with his self-released, indie-folk-inspired debut single, Penny Jane. Since then, he's dropped two albums (Apricity, Blue Book), four EPs (Little Evenings, Long Nights, Ponding, Besides, Hindsight) and a handful of successful singles (Memories We Can't Make, Orange Hoodie) – all while remaining independent. Often praised for his lyricism, Maude continues to evolve his sound and grow as a producer. Fuelled by a DIY attitude born out of necessity and a constant urge to experiment, Maude is unpredictable and hard to pin down.
