Stacey Smallie has recently signed a worldwide publishing administration agreement with Missing Link Music!
Stacey Smallie comes to Missing Link Music as the co-collaborator and wife of fellow MLM client Erron Williams.
Born and raised on the Westside of Chicago, Stacy developed a love for music that was birthed in a home where her mother kept music playing from the Motown era, along with traditional and contemporary Gospel. Her Father, the sounds of Bobby Blue Band and B.B. King. She’d later go on to teach herself how to compose harmonies and began teaching, training and directing choirs and groups in Chicago for more than 20 years. While
working at a studio in Chicago as a secretary, she was asked to sing with a girl’s R&B group that landed a recording/publishing deal with Deathrow/Interscope Records in the early 90’s. The group disbanded after relocating to Los Angeles, but Stacey remained local and was blessed to work with some of Deathrow’s top artists and producers.
Stacey’s composer and background vocal credits imclude:
–Tha Dogg Pound – “I Don’t Like to Dream About Getting Paid“
–Fuskee (Nate Dogg) – “Bag O’ Weed” and “These Days“
–Danny Boy – “Welcome To Death Row,” “Steppin,” “Come When I call (Remix)” and “So In Love“
While performing on many unreleased hits within the Deathrow Catolog, she was added to Hip Hop History when she was asked to record and write with Johnny J and 2Pac Shakur on the Diamond Certified “All Eyes On Me” album, where she was featured on “Life Goes On.”
Being a church girl at heart, Stacey has also recorded with Gospel artists Ricky Dillard, Darius Brooks, Lawonda Campbell and more.
Most recently, Stacey is writing, producing, recording and mixing a solo project, collaborating with “Wes`Nile The Genius” (Producer for Bone Thugs In Harmony). She is also working with her husband Erron Williams (Produced for Michelle Williams and Destiny’s Child) and Marc McWilliams.
In light of the upcoming biopic, based on Tupac’s life, Stacy could not be more than excited to have publishing representation and Missing Link Music couldn’t be happier to help her.
