Missing Link Music client Josef Leimberg has been awarded credits on Kendrick Lamar’s new album entitled, “To Pimp A Butterfly.” Josef is credited as a co-writer for the tracks, “How Much A Dollar Cost (ft. James Fauntleroy & Ronald Isley” and “You Ain’t Gotta Lie (Momma Said).” Not only did the album go straight to #1 on  Billboard’s Top Album Sales, but creates a unique vibe of jazz underlying classic Lamar Hip Hop.

Many of the musicians featured on the record are straight out of the underground Compton Jazz music scene. Lamar goes as far as to include his father’s flute playing on the album.

The album, which was released March 6th, showcases a plethora of artists abilities., including Missing Link Client Josef Leimberg, who plays trumpet.
